Actually , my fav character is Jayne. But I do like Wash a lot. I think if I had to be like a character, I'd like to be like him. Or Kaylee. Except that she's a skank, so nevermind.

Josh says that Kaylee is the cutest character on the show. Which I kind of expected since the other choices are a high-maintenance Companion and a warrior woman type person, neither of which are really his type. And I forgot River. Josh says "She irritates me." She's a jailbait crazy, which I also don't think is Josh's type.

And you're being kind of judgmental for someone who hasn't been single since she was fourteen (and thus didn't have to struggle against skankarankin pressures). :P (More seriously, you may have to watch out for this "human experience blind spot" when writing.)

Well, my saying Kaylee is a skank has more to do with the fact that, from what I gathered from the "this is how all those crazies met!" episode, she seemed to be having sex with a random guy she picked up off the street as opposed to someone she was dating or actually interested in, which I do generally consider in the realm of skanky behavior. Her tendency to like guys (i.e., how she says guys are cute, how she crushes on the doctor, even the fact that she seems to be ready to have sex earlier in a relationship than some people might, etc.) have nothing to do with that judgment.

Actually, I figured that it was based on that episode. But based on her doing that one time that we know of, it might be a little premature to say that. Sleeping with a guy that she (apparently) did not know doesn't necessarily mean a lot of different guys in close succession. (But I agree that her behavior was questionable--and in fact, unexpected when I first saw the episode. I can't quite say out of character because the show hadn't been running long enough for us to have that strong a sense of her character.)
